Wellington Beds (Manufacturing Plant)

A local business founded in 1992, Wellington Beds has worked its way into becoming a large scale retail institution with stores in Thorndon Quay, Porirua, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt.

The head office, manufacturing plant and factory direct showroom opened at Tawa Junction mid 2015. Wellington Beds recently increased its presence onsite by taking an additional
280m² lease of Unit 2B, a special purpose fire rated storage area, to meet growing demand and product delivery to both their retail customers and commercial clients such as Hotels.

Owner Paul Bary describes Tawa Junction as a “natural fit” for all three facets of his business - showroom, production and logistics of product. This is due to Tawa Junctions geographically central location and access to SH1. He has quoted that his business has grown and never been stronger since moving to Tawa Junction.
